Canadian Victorian Police trousers Circa 1858

Sir James Douglas, Governor, appointed August Pemberton to establish a police force in Victoria in 1858. The police force was established using the Metropolitan Police Force as their plate. The uniform was in use from 1858 to the turn of the century with slight modifications.
