The uniform is a North West Mounted Police uniform used in Canada circa 1904 The rank is that of a standard trooper. For higher ranks they added pips and crowns.
Tunic -
fabric - red melton wool
red melton shoulder boards
red melton collar
fully lined
Breeches -
trousers- high backed with brace button attachments, oxford blue wool with yellow stripe down each leg
